A surgery near Bridgwater is the best GP practice in Somerset, according to its patients.
Quantock Medical Centre in Nether Stowey was named the top-rated surgery in the county in the national 2020 GP Patient Survey.
Patients at surgeries across the country were asked to rate their overall experience of their GP on a scale of very good, fairly good, neither good nor poor, fairly poor, and very poor.

Across the region, the average score was slightly above the national average for overall experience at their GP practice.
On average, 83 per cent of patients across all Somerset surgeries described their overall experience as good or better, compared to the national average of 82 per cent.
These are the ten surgeries in Somerset that had the highest percentage of patients rate them as “very good”
1)Quantock Medical Centre
Rated the best GP surgery in Somerset, 85 per cent of 44 responses at Quantock Medical Centre rate the centre as “very good”.
2) Queen Camel Medical Centre
Queen Camel Medical Centre comes in at second on our list, with 83 per cent of patients rating it “very good” overall.
3) Brent Area Medical Centre
Based in East Brent, Brent Area Medical Centre received “very good” ratings from 82 per cent of its patients.
4)Church View Medical Centre
Church View Medical Centre in Ilminster is one of four surgeries to hit a “very good” rating of more than 80 per cent.
A total of 28 people out of 35 rated the surgery in the top category.
The Millbrook Surgery in Castle Cary came fifth, with 79 per cent of 68 respondents rating the surgery as “very good”.
6) West Coker Surgery
West Coker Surgery ranked sixth, with 78 per cent of patients rating it “‘very good” out of 50 responses.
7) Polden Medical Practice
Coming in at seventh is Polden Medical Practice in Woolavington, which received a rating of 75 per cent in the “very good” category.
8) Exmoor Medical Centre
Exmoor Medical Centre ranked eighth, with the surgery being rated “very good” in 74 per cent of its responses.
Also gaining a 74 per cent “very good” rating was Oakhill Surgery in Radstock once the responses of 36 patients was taken into account.
10) College Way Surgery
College Way Surgery based in Taunton was rated “very good” in 73 per cent of the 153 responses it received.
