The weather has taken a decided turn after the scorching heatwave Brits enjoyed earlier this month.
As we head into August, the bitter wet weather looks set to continue in Somerset, with patchy periods of rain forecast for the coming week.
The rain is set to continue from Sunday (August 1) to Friday (August 6) across the county, with certain days looking worse than others.

The Met Office forecast for Bath, Yeovil and Taunton shows light showers starting on Sunday.
The rainfall will continue throughout the day with a mix of heavy and light showers, as well as the chance of thunderstorms in Yeovil at 2pm.
The cloudy skies will remain throughout Monday, which will also suffer from more rain but some sunny intervals will occur across Bath, Yeovil and Taunton.

While residents of Yeovil will be treated to a respite from the rain on Tuesday, those in Bath and Taunton will not be so lucky, with patchy light showers forecast for the rest of the week.
Temperatures will hover around 20°C, occasionally dipping above the high teens, even though there will be downpours.

Tonight: Daytime showers will gradually fade this evening, leaving a largely dry night with clear spells for most. However, the odd shower is still possible. Feeling colder and fresher than recent nights. Minimum temperature 13°C.
Sunday: Another day of sunny spells and scattered showers, heavy at times and perhaps thundery into the early afternoon. Showers easing in the evening with some late sunshine. Maximum temperature 23°C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday: Sunshine and showers to start the week on Monday. Tuesday begins mostly dry but showers develop in the afternoon. Wednesday, expecting similar conditions with heavier showers.
