PS Now August 2021: New PS4 games replacing TWO on PlayStation Now | Gaming | Entertainment

Having replaced several prominent games of recent months, including one of the most played, Sony is in the perfect position to add some more top PS4 titles to the PS Now streaming service in August.

We’re days away from the final reveal, following on from the recent confirmed PS Plus roster for next month.

And while we have seen some crossover between PlayStation Now and Plus games this year, neither Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville or Tennis World Tour 2 are expected to be featured.

There’s a slim chance that Hunter’s Arena: Legends could be a surprise selection, considering we have seen Virtua Fighter given a collective launch.

But until we learn more from Sony, all of this will remain speculation regarding PlayStation Now in August.

Sony likes to keep a rotation of interesting games coming to PlayStation Now, which now needs to compete with Xbox Cloud Gaming and Google Stadia.

And while the PS Now library now boasts hundreds of games, most of them are replaced within a few months.

Most are made available to play for at least three months, but some disappear before that time limit.

And this month will see another two games removed from PS Now before the new August titles are released.

Sony has been adding at least three games each month in 2021, but there’s always the chance for more.

The tech giant has been known to go on splurges, adding five or six games to the PS Now service on a single day.

These can vary in quality, but with a few high-profile games being removed in April and May, this could be a bumper month for announcements.

And we also know that WWE 2K Battlegrounds and Jump Force will be disappearing on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.

Meanwhile, the new PS Now games are expected to be announced on August 2 as part of Sony’s official plans.

Below are the games we know will no longer be playable during August 2021 on PlayStation Now:

JUMP FORCE

Some of the most famous Manga heroes are thrown into a whole new battleground: our world. Uniting to fight the most dangerous threat, the Jump Force will bear the fate of the entire humankind. Create your own avatar and jump into an original Story Mode to fight alongside some of the most powerful Manga heroes from Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Hunter X Hunter, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu Yu Hakusho, Saint Seiya and many others. Or head to the Online Lobby to challenge other players and discover lots of modes and activities.

WWE 2K BATTLEGROUNDS

The world of WWE is your battleground with over the top, arcade action as your favourite WWE Superstars and Legends battle in interactive environments around the world. Play through a new story mode while unlocking unique characters and Battlegrounds. Compete using special abilities and power-ups in match types like Steel Cage, Royal Rumble, and more! Compete in Online Tournaments or stake your claim as King of the Battleground against players from around the world! Plus, battle it out in local multiplayer and dominate your friends.

And here’s the description for Hunter’s Arena: Legends joining PS Plus next month:

As announced during State of Play earlier this month, Hunter’s Arena is coming to PlayStation Plus for both PS4 and PS5. The 30 player PvP & PvE combat-based battle royale* is set in an ancient age in which humanity battles each other as well as a growing legion of demons that have been unleashed upon the world. In this vicious frontier, you’ll face threats on two fronts. Head into high-risk, high-reward dungeons to encounter demonic foes.
