There has been one new Covid-related death in Somerset, the latest fiures show.
A total of 280 new positive tests have also been confirmed by the Government in the last 24 hours
The fatality within 28 days of a positive Covid test was recorded in North Somerset, bringing the total recorded in the area to 322 and the total across the county to 1,243.
The 280 new cases of the virus bring the overall total for Somerset to 28,891.

The area seeing the largest increase in cases over the last 24 hours was Bath and North East Somerset, where there were 71 new cases.
There were 64 in North Somerset, 46 in Sedgemoor and 37 in South Somerset, with Somerset West and Taunton seeing 34 new positive tests.
Mendip saw the lowest new cases with 28.

- North Somerset: 15,261 (+64)
- Sedgemoor: 7,393 (+46)
- Somerset West and Taunton: 8,019 (+34)
- South Somerset: 8,036 (+37)

Nationally there have been another 23,510 positive coronavirus cases across the United Kingdom.
This brings the total number of cases to 6,117,540 since the pandemic began last year.
Meanwhile there have been another 146 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test across the UK, bringing the death toll to 130,503.
There have now been 47,091,889 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine distribute while 39,688,566 people have been double-jabbed.
