A smaller PS5 stock drop is reportedly launching this week from UK retailers Argos and Very.
According to the latest news on the subject, Very is planning to release a small wave of PlayStation 5 consoles onto its digital platform on Wednesday, August 4.
But as noted above, this will not be the same size as previous shipments, meaning it could be even harder to snag one.
The latest predictions are coming from stock tracker accounts, meaning they could prove to be incorrect or include release date delays.
This has happened a lot in the past, but most accounts remain very reliable when planning for a shipment.
And without official news being shared by the retailers themselves, they can prove to be the only source of information on the subject.
According to Twitter’s PS5 Stock UK account, Very will be releasing new PS5 consoles to buy at around 9am BST.
However, it could take a few hours for the restock to go live on the Very website, meaning some gamers might have to wait until Midday to have a chance at buying one.
Meanwhile, Argos is another retailer linked to a significant PlayStation 5 stock drop this week.
According to the same source, Argos will drop its new shipment this week, with dates spanning between now and August 6.
For Argos, gamers will need to be ready earlier in the day to have a chance at buying a console, with the retailer usually dropping stock between 4am BST and 8am BST.
It should also be noted that this can happen on a region-by-region basis, meaning that some digital store locations could lag behind others.
Sony recently confirmed a massive sales goal for this year, even as console hunters continue to struggle to find stock.
With Sony confirming a huge sales goal being reached this month, console hunters are still struggling to find stock in 2021.
Sony has been selling plenty of next-gen consoles in 2021 but has not been able to keep up with demand.
The company has managed to sell 10 million units globally, hitting the milestone on July 18.
Knowing when a PS5 restock is happening can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.
And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:
AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out. More stock is expected during early August.
ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The next PS5 stock is expected around August 11.
