Former AFC Wimbledon defender Terell Thomas is unlikely to be joining Hull City this week.
City had been in talks with the highly regarded central defender following his departure from Plough Lane at the end of last season, but Hull Live understands the 25-year-old is now likely to move elsewhere.
Thomas remains in talks with another Championship club while there continues to be significant interest from League One in the Rainham-born ex-Charlton youngster, and it’s thought Thomas’ desire to play regular football will be the number one factor in deciding his future destination.
Barnsley and Sunderland are thought to be monitoring the situation with Thomas, who has been keeping himself fit throughout the close season, and played for Brentford B’s 3-1 victory over League One newboys Cambridge United at St Neots on Saturday.

Tigers head coach Grant McCann has confirmed the club are close to making three further additions to the squad before Friday night’s trip to face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in City’s final public pre-season outing prior to the start of the Championship season.
He hopes to bring in defensive cover and add in midfield, too, with City currently taking a closer look at Tom Huddlestone, after the 34-year played 45 minutes in Saturday’s 1-0 win at Scunthorpe United.
“Hopefully close, we still need another three players in my opinion,” McCann said on the prospect of new arrivals.
“We’re working very hard on that, we need to add to the midfield so hopefully there will be two bodies coming in there and we need to add a right-sided centre half to add competition.
“We need to add a couple to make us stronger.”
